Now, My New Toy(s)!!!

Do you know what comes once a month other than women’s period? MY BLOG!

I hate to admit, but yes I have to, that it’s a little waste of money of owning this blog with my name as the domain while I don’t write that often since I got that job.

BUT, well well, and now, I’m updating it with showing off my latest purchased toy(s)!!!

DUN DUN DUN DUN!! <—Please play Beethoven’s 5th Symphony in your mind when reading that…

Tell me, visitor: what do you see?? What? Dan Brown’s The Lost Symbol?! Please, don’t let me insult you.

Ok, you know I was kidding.

It’s SONY’s latest ebook reader PRS900 that I am holding in the picture! If you don’t know what ebook reader is, leave my blog and go to google.com.

Maybe you just can’t be bothered to read books on a small and hard-feeling and heavy and, probably the reason why most people don’t like ebook readers, not-a-book machine. But I love it and I enjoy it! I hope I told you I was a hi-tech geek…

You may now wonder, why I said TOY(S)? Look what else I got here:

An inflatable couch!!! (fyi if you get to read this blog, Nickie and Larry, the white box to the left of the couch is my NAS, THE NAS, muehehehe)

By the look of it, I don’t see it necessary to explain.

How pleasant my life is!!

Roarrrrrrrrr, I want it!!

Why I fancy the device:

Software wise – the luxurised user interface! Flash 10 support!!

HTC likes tweaking OSs… I still remember their Touch Diamond and how they tweaked WinMo. That was not a very good experience for me. But I hope this time HTC is doing a good job! I heard G1 will eventually get the same cupcake update. That will be awesome!

Hardware wise – 3.5mm audio jack! 512mb ROM 288mb RAM! 5mp camera with AF!!

These hardware attractiveness are irreplaceable. For once I am really moved. But will I buy it? Maybe no. Because it doesn’t have a physical keyboard –_- and I hate the important information being covered when I have to type on the soft keypad. It’s just my personal preference.

I don’t really mind waiting a little bit longer for my G1 to get the update… If T-Mobile UK is not going to release this update, I will think about unlocking the G1, then have it rooted, and installed the update manually. Some people have already done it, and they are happily enjoying Flash on their G1 now!

let’s grow the trees…

is it a joke?

O2 has already confirmed that the 16GB and 32GB iPhone 3G S models will cost pay-as-you-go customers a whopping £440.40 ($711.12/€510.37) and £538.30 ($853.05/€612.24), respectively.

However, internet tethering – a killer 3G S feature allowing the phone to be used like am HSDPA modem – won’t be available to PAYG customers. The bolt-on will only be offered to contract customers, priced at either £14.68 per month for a 3GB maximum data transfer allowance, or £29.36 per month for 10GB.

PreCentral’s long review of Palm Pre…

Long enough to cover every aspect of Pre. Besides the gadget itself, I would also like to have a look at webOS’s SDK. Once I figure out Pre’s extendibility I will decide to buy it or not ^_^

PSP Go’s COOL!! Surely I will be the early buyer!

I’m not bothering to list the details…we will see when E3 opens. Tons of rumours are floating out there, though some info seem authentic. IF this gadget is as what has been said, I WILL DEFINITELY BUY IT ON ITS FIRST RELEASE!!

it’s been two weeks. android cupcake rocks!

DSC00001

got this update two weeks ago. it’s a long waiting system patch that adds significant features to the high spoken mobile os android. after using it for a while, i really feel this update rocks!

  • the on-screen touch keyboard saves a lot work sliding out the ph.keyboard during most applications e.g. search youtube, search contacts, etc.. the accuracy is amazingly high. by turning on the vibration feedback in settings, worries of miskeyin is no more.
  • the phone now can record videos with sound. and the video recorded can be uploaded to youtube directly from the phone, wow!! the quality is decent, with just a 2mp camera after all. but it’s a huge feature to add in, i must say.
  • built-in G-sensor tweak, eventually! when the phone’s rotated, the screen gets rotated as well! this function can now be turned on via system settings.
  • i don’t use the bt stereo that much, but at least there is such ability, awesome!
  • the graphical UI has been modified a little, more elegant i’d say. sys speed has improved quite a bit, boot-up logo is changed.

the gadget now is my only favourite. WinMo is too crappy, ifone is nice but without a physical keyboard, it will never enter my selection candidates zone. Nokia…er…i swear i’ll never buy this shit again. i’ll share my exp in the future if there’s a chance.

what i expect from G1 now lands on third party support. i need a on-screen soft Chinese input method, one that’s compatible with 1.5 cupcake. official iplayer supported by BBC (come on! make one for android, will ya?!), full screen contact picture display when dialing (i miss my Sagem MyX-8…). ahhh i really wish everyday is christmas…
