I choose to enjoy though…hehe

Got up at 8am and tidied myself up. Got out the door with Y and headed for breakfast – traditional Yum Cha. Morning is always nice, despite the heat at this time of the year… But we didn’t seem so nice to the food: 5 min to order, 5 min waiting, and 5 min to finish… Amazed at our eating speed. Too used to intense city life maybe.

By finishing breakfast so unexpectedly fast, we were wondering where to go next. The original plan was to go to a park in Xiang Zhou soon after eating, but now we got too much time to spend on the road. Anyway at least we had a plan, so stick to it.

We didn’t go to a park, or any park… We got off the bus and looked around, found some bike specialists. Curiosity kills a cat, it kills time too ^.^ Unfortuneately the bikes are all of either too out-of-date or too expensive. We didn’t stay there for long, instead I got an idea popped up that we should go to the food market to bulky import some snacks… Bravly enough we decided to buy a lot of spicy chicken feet and resell it to friends. So we bought 40 packs!

Earlier that day I have booked a badminton court for one hour in the afternoon at Xiawan Middle School Stadium. The reservation was at 430pm. We felt so frustrated that we got 3.5 hours to spend before going to play badminton…

We had two options: go home and put down all the goods and take some rest then go out again, or go to some nice and relax place near the stadium to spend time until the badmintom game. I knew Y was going to choose the first one but I really didn’t want that. So I said in a very geliable manner: by watching your belly, I wouldn’t go home to rest. That worked We went to a sushi shop to have some sashimi and spend the time.

Of course we went to play badminton on time, and the excercise was brilliantly effective to lose weight. We both felt tired and sweaty.

But, to remind anyone reading this blog: WE WERE CARRYING 40 PACKS OF CHICKEN FEET TO GO TO SUSHI AND THEN PLAY BADMINTON.

Ok the capped words concludes the day and I’ll post some rubish again next time when I got some.

So I stayed in GZ and went to Dongwan yesterday for a simple casual trip for 2 days.

I left GZ late on 3 Oct, and wasted a little bit time on dinner (took too long at eating…damn!), this directly kept me out of the entrance of the Lotus Mountain because it closed at 7pm!! I spent that evening at Top KTV until I felt exhausted and slept at this Inn

Not bad at all, price and equipment wise!

The next day morning, I got up at 630am (oh yes I did!) then went to climb the Lotus Mountain. And – I got to the top of it!

Don’t look at my chest! It’s because of the wind, you suckers!

Then I climbed down and had lunch and headed back downtown. That sums up my simple casual trip.

At downtown, I met Yong, a cute and nice boy. We chattered for three hours and I talked about my life in UK. When mentioning Nickie and Larry, a strong feeling stroke me, a feeling of precious treasure being dug out, a feeling of heart-moving.

Now play-back time: Nickie, Larry, and me walked to the security check of Edin Airport, I turned around and bid a farewell to both of them, without looking at their eyes, and soon after saying goodbye, I quickly walked through the guard, no looking back. Because I knew if I stayed a little bit longer with them, I would cry, loudly. I left, just like that.

I have kept that feeling, and it is supposed to be buried forever. But today it just surfaced. I wanted to cry when telling my story to Yong. I held it. It would be so embarrassing to cry in front of another boy.

Anyway we quitted chattering at about 7pm because Yong’s friend’s got a singing competition and he needed to go for supporting. So we went our separate ways and I went to take the coach to go back GZ.

Feng gave me a sweet call as ever on my way home, but I really don’t deserve that, how and when should I tell…

I arrived at the terminal at about 8, walked to Blenz Coffee at Times Square, sat down, and started to call Yu and Keith out for K, but none was available… Neither was Tian Zhen because she went back Shandong –_-b

Well then, forget about the perfect ending crap and go home loh~

Sigh… It doesn’t make sense but I miss Yong’s stupid laugh…

This company’s culture is unhealthy. I mean it’s really physically unhealthy! More than 60% staff got problems found out after the recent body-check. Sam got his medical advice covered half a A4 paper. I got one problem about my liver, same for most others.

Drinking is the biggest issue, then the oily food.

This is a typical Chinese company, with typical Chinese sales style, that is the deal is made on/under table. Oh it’s not 100% done with the table, but the table is the key! Then the alcohol is the keyhole… It can’t be criticised since it’s been proved to work, for thousands of years.

The company is also typical Chinese because of its canteen only meets the bosses’ appetite. And I wonder, is his favorite that oily? Tss… or it’s just the cooks got silly mind to put tons of animal fat into cooking…

I’d rather go out to spend more money on some more trustworthy food than getting fed by the company canteen, saving only 8 yuan a meal (so they say…)

Yup yup, that’s what i’ve been doing, and what i’ll keep doing!! it’s never late to shape up a good looking body!!

Recently quite a few people stepped into my blogsphere. But they never left their footprints. I knew because they told me afterwards. Eh….what were those all about? Whatever!

Made some friends recently. Some good, some okay, some fk off. Been to beach once, with Bro P, amazing place! Don’t mind going there a few more times! And next time, should be with more people to have more fun! yay…

A little bit lonely now every night. Good to have some one to text to. And some one just likes to piss me off. Life gets calm, but should I? 28th birthday is coming soon, I’m not afraid at all. I won’t be until 30. I know what I want, I chose it, I will keep up with it – I keep telling myself this, but seriously, I from time to time really feel too weak to be strong. I need support.

Yeah maybe it’s because I got promoted just a couple of days ago that I started to see my life being calm. Perhaps it’s not that calm. Just got promoted, higher position, more responsibilities, and more opportunities. I earned this on my own! I stirred up my career, up and up and up! I won’t have a settled life until I reach my goal. And that goal is…no telling! I am a determined man! I will make those I love happy, for real!

Colleagues keep asking me to treat them a meal for getting promoted. That’s the culture here in this nation, I can’t stand it but what can I do… So they will be treated when I get my salary, for god’s sake!

Well karaoke will be good enough, remembering last time Jason, JC, Roro, and Ken and me went to that KTV to have fun, nice!

So much for tonight. I feel lighter after writing all these.

So what a guy weekend would be?

Pubs, chicks, alcohol, disco, cigarette, World-Cup, sleep late, talking shit, dirty jokes. That’s normal. But between me and P, we can also talk about career, life, dreams (maybe a little bit too old for that for us…but fuck it, we did talk about that!). That’s right, he’s my bro!

Dear gracious me! I haven’t been so relaxed for more than half year.

Since the day I started work, I spent all my energy on it unreservedly. I never looked at my life for the time being that I didn’t realise I haven’t made any new friends yet. Okay Jason counts for one but that dickhead went to Dubai and only thinks of DuoDuo. I’m not moaning…

Knowing P has moved to a new flat with extra space, I could go to Shenzhen and spend some time for relaxation as long as I don’t disturb his personal life. No, wait, I don’t fucking care about his personal life, I’m going anyway whenever I feel like to. That’s a bro for me, hiehiehie~

Maja’s joke made my day. I haven’t laughed like that for a long time. She says she likes sharing the happiness, and indeed she does.

So Jason has left for Dubai. He corrected one of my mistakes before he left. I admit it. I did misjudge someone, but not in the way that Jason said. Whatever, that doesn’t usually happen.

From the day I joined the company, I devoted all my energy and time into work. Too much energy and time that I haven’t taken really good care of my life. Returned from Sri Lanka, I indulged myself a little bit. Drinking and staying late, watching world-cup and flirting with girls. Suddenly I started to realise that I am actually quite lonely in this city. Where are all my friends? Why am I working so hard that I haven’t even got time to made any new friends yet? I know, because I have a plan, an ultimate goal within my 5-year career life, and I want to stick to the plan. But it’s never easy to stick to the plan.

It happened to me before though.

I also felt lonely when I was in Stirling, especially during the time I lived in St Ninians, on top of the hill. I felt extremely lonely at that time that I tried to give up my plan several times. My plan was to learn whatever I could learn and enrich my life experience as much as possible, and I will gain what other Chinese don’t normally gain when living abroad. I came over the loneliness. I did learn a lot more than most Chinese did. And I’m sure I’m already benefiting from my overseas exp.

So I have the experience of gaining experience. I set up the goal, made a plan, then stick to it, as easy as that! This is a colorful world though. Targets are easily lost. ‘Don’t blind yourself!’ my mom always tells me. Thank you mom! I love you!

I’m not lonely, because loneliness is with me. – Jason told me that, purely classic!

Anyway, I went to watch the football game between the two teams at City Inn Karaoke tonight. It’s the second time to be there, not bad a place at all.

The girl who has recently transferred from the other subsidiary went. She’s a very smart girl, and very funny. She gave me a feeling of maturity that she knows how to separate life and work. When work, she concentrates; when live, she enjoys. That said as she’s good at being a colleague as well as a friend. Honestly, I like her very much.

The boy, who just joined our company a couple of months ago, is also a guy I like. He’s good at socialing, and very considerate to others. However, he’s not that focused on his career that he appears not so responsible for himself during work. But I like him anyway, a good guy, can be a good friend. I should tell him what I think of him before he leaves for Dubai again.

And there’s also this Ausie joined us tonigh, a CBA – Chinese Born Australian, to be precise. Nothing much to talk about him yet, I only knew him for less than a week. He’s a new asset to my team, I would expect him to be a good colleague and a good friend too.

There were other colleagues and people having fun together tonight. They were nice.

Tonight reminds me the days of my Scotland-hood. I’m sitting at the balcony, sobering up myself and enjoying the breeze. The moon hangs on the night curtain with half face covered, a shiny star not far away from it, looking like approaching the moon, but never gets any closer. I used to go out with Alex, Michele, Michal, Ruta, and Cicy, then do the same in Stirling, though the view was way much better. I also went out with Larry and Nickie, and Annie and Maja. Remembering those Salsa nights and Edinburgh visits makes me feel warm inside, so warm inside.

I miss my friends, I miss Maja.

Maja gave me a call this afternoon when I was still in office. Hearing her voice surprised me and made me very happy. When seeing other couples, I always think of her. Not knowing when I can see her again worries me. I’m not old, but not young either. I’m at the age that should prioritize the key issues of my life before it’s too late. I would like to multi-tasking, but that always generates unsatisfactory outcome. So no way to go there. Prioritize, prioritize.

I was told there was some eyesore in the department about me recently. I don’t care at all to be honest. I can roughly figure out why it happens. It’s not big deal, but just like Jason said, it could lead to some difficulties in my future work. I’d better see into that. When I am deciding what people I like, the people are also deciding whether they like me. Human beings are so complicated, or is it just Chinese? Eh well…whatever…

I would rather settle myself in Greece or Spain or Iceland…well, maybe not Iceland since I can’t stand the volcanic stuff. But I am just saying!

What are people thinking when they are happily paying for the coffin they will be dying in? It would be fun to find out.

This is not a news already, not for at least a decade. And the situation is worsening, I can feel it around me. Quite many people are on a loan for their ‘own’ property which the government actually ‘let’ to them for a few years. Yeah yeah I know there haven’t happened any cases that the government force to recycle anybody’s house, but still…these people say to me they are happy with it at a time, then moan at it at many other times. Why do they say they are happy? I think because they are told to be happy with ‘owning’ their own property. They don’t even think about it. It doesn’t sound right at all to me, not in whatever way it is put. People are blindly following something, they follow what the mass are speaking, and the mass is not actually THE mass, it’s just some propaganda say ‘the mass say blah blah blah’. People don’t need credible reference, they are already used to it, they only need to be told ‘it is said by the mass’, then they are convinced.

Agreed that having one’s self-owned place to live through the senility is wonderful. But really? If that place costs all one’s post adolescence?

Am I making sense? Maybe no…but I really don’t know how I can express what is in my mind precisely…this stuff drives me nuts…

It’s just stupid to load for happiness at the cost of one’s most valuable life time.
